As promised in my earlier post today, here is a quick update as to how the Invites by Jen office space is coming along.
Invites by Jen is now officially marketed on the side of the Healy building.
No, that is not my phone number. That would be the number to the building manager. It is unfortunate that the way the sign works {and for adding new tenants to the sign}, my landlord may now get panicked phone calls from brides. I did, however, get an office phone. The number is 920-356-8987 for those that may be inclined to call and leave IBJ a sweet message.
Do not ask why Blue Lotus’s space is all scratched out. I have my suspicions and you do not want to know!
When you get to the top of the stairs, onto the second floor where my office is located, you will also find a listing of the tenants.
Office space #5 is actually no longer empty – an art studio just rented the space!
I also have plans for signage on my door and at the top of my door, but I am waiting for a new door that I ordered to come in.
As far as the inside of the office space goes. Technically I can offer consultations to couples who are looking to order invitations, but the office space is no where near what I would eventually like to see.
However, here are things as of now!
When you first open the door, you see my sign prominently displayed.
The door that I ordered has a glass window pane {so that you can see into the office even when the door is closed}. My thinking was that people will be able to know instantly that they have found the right office versus wondering if they should even open the door!
The flowers are vinyl wall decor items I found at {none other than} Menards!
You may have also noticed right by my sign is my consultation table.
All of the furniture in my office will be painted white. I found everything at antique or second-hand stores. I was going for a “modern take on an antique feel”…so I figured painting antique furniture white would give everything that clean, modern feel. Please, however, do not take notice that the seats currently do not have any cushions. I only have two of the seven chair cushions covered at this point!
Also in the “consultation” room is my current desk area.
Other than this, there really isn’t anything in the “waiting” room. Just a cute {and quick} shelving unit I threw together, coupled with hanging curtains, just so that it wasn’t completely bare.
We are currently working hard on display units {that will also be used at my bridal shows this upcoming season} and a seating area.
P.S. {did you see that cute little owl on the shelving unit? I do not know why, but recently, I have become obsessed with all of the cute owl decorations…I literally buy a new one for the office space every time I am out shopping!}
As far as the third room, which is currently the “storage” room, this is the current state:
{and actually this picture makes the room look a lot better than it actually is!}
So, what do you think of the office space so far?
It's lovely, Jennifer! Love, Aunt Dorothy
