The Studio is Underway!

One of the big selling points of the house was an unfinished, walk-up attic.....Jen's future studio (where she would run her business). Graham and team have been very busy getting the project underway. The permit is hanging in our window and work has begun:

These pictures show how the studio first looked.....soon things would become very messy! In the end, however, we are looking at adding just over 400 square feet to the house!

Graham's family came down to help -- while Jen, Sam, and Lynne worked on the kitchen (pictures to come), Geoff, Mike, and Graham worked on the framing upstairs.

After he was done with most of the framing and electrical work, Graham installed our brand new windows!

Graham is finishing up some of the electrical this week and then the inspector will pay us a visit! Assuming all goes well, we will begin insulating (which is a very good thing as the snow is falling quite heavily today!!).

Even with trips back to the Glenwood area consuming the rest of the weekends this year, we are hopeful to get a few good evenings of work in and be on our way to Jen moving out of a spare bedroom and into her new studio very soon!
