There was, of course, New Year's to start 2011. Then, Tammy came down to help Jen get ready for her annual bridal show:
along with getting ready for the show, there were Sweet Sixteen invites to be made!
The next weekend in January included a trip down to Madison for Jen and Graham......to represent Invites by Jen at the Wedding Planner and Guide show all weekend. Luckily the Packers game was Saturday evening and not during the show!!
the show was held at the Alliant Energy Center (unfortunately even though Graham works for Alliant, Invites by Jen received no special advantages)
the very quaint Invites by Jen booth
menus displayed at another booth!
The weekend following the show was meant to be a quiet one spent at home, working on the to-do list.
Jen had more than a million things to get caught up on (follow-ups from the bridal show and an ever-growing order list that needed to be tended to).
Graham had to present an electrical demonstration at Omro high school along with finishing up an investigation at a farm on Saturday. He then planned on attempting to finish off his closet that needed to be re-done as a result of the studio demo.
However, all of these plans changed when we realized our little buddy wasn't feeling so hot.
We had to take him in for an emergency vet visit (late on Saturday)....the vet (along with our vet friend, Matt) noted that he may die by Monday if we didn't seek immediate care! He is doing alright now, however!
For the last weekend in January, Jen traveled across the state to co-host a baby shower for her friend Alessiah and Baby Girl D.
there was a lot of pink involved and Jen definitely had fun spending some time with Tim and Alessiah!
Because Graham needed to stay back home while Jen was away to dispense medication to the cat, he was able to secure his barn for the goat farm....yes, you read that correctly.....G.O.A.T.S.
This weekend (besides planning to watch the Super Bowl), Graham is finishing up most of the necessary items for his goat barn. Although we thought we would have kids (the goat variety, that is) by this weekend, it appears as if we will need to wait a couple more weeks before a few new ones are born.
So, besides doing taxes, working on the closet, and watching the BIG game on our new BIG TV (after doing the taxes, we decided to finally purchase that 50" TV we had been dreaming of), not much more is going on this weekend...
Will post pictures of the closet and goat farm soon!
